that, pursuant to the authority vested in
the Superintendent by the "Provincial
Government Act," Session I, No. 7, I have
appointed
Hugh Carleton, Esq.,
to be a Member of the Provincial Executive
Council.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Robert Graham, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me
by the second clause of the "Highways
Act, 1862," I do hereby declare that the
lands comprised within the several boundaries hereinafter described, shall be a district
under the said Act, and that such district
shall be known by the name thereto prefixed,
that is to say—

The District of Maungakaramea
Comprises all those lands bounded on the
north by the Southern boundary of the Parish
of Maungatapere; on the East by the Mangapai River; on the South-East by the Mangapai River aforesaid, the South-Eastern
boundaries of Lots Nos. 86 and 79 of the
Parish of Maungakaramea and the Tauraroa
River; on the South by the Tauraroa River
aforesaid, the Southern boundaries of Lots
18, 21, 25, 130, 129, 87, 88, 89, 90, and 91
of the said Parish of Maungakaramea; on the
West by the Western boundary of Lot 92 of
the Parish of Maungakaramea, a road, the
Western boundary of Lot 58 of the said
Parish, and the Wai-one-pu River, including
all roads traversing the lands within the
before-mentioned boundaries.

Given under my hand at Auckland,
this twenty-fifth day of October,
One thousand eight hundred and
sixty-four.
