PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that all persons claiming a right to vote at the election of a Board of Trustees for the District of Mahurangi, under the Highways Act, 1862, are to send in their claims to Carleton Hollis James Hill, Esq., Mahurangi, on or before the 1st day of May next, and that such claims must be in the form following:—

Form of Claim.

I, Christian Name and Surname of Claimant, at full length, do claim to have my name enrolled as a voter for the election of Trustees for the District of Mahurangi (as Landowner, Lessee, or Mortgagee, in possession, as the case may be), and that the particulars of my qualification are as follows:—

Number of Allotments Situation and Name of Occupying Tenant (if any) Number of Section Area Nature of Qualification, and Statement of Property, and situation of Property.
Acres Freeholder, (or freehold,) or mortgagee, as the case may be.

Place of Abode, ____

Nature of Qualification, ____

Suburbs of Auckland. (or town or village, if in the country,) ____

Dated this ____ day of ____ 186.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor ROBERT GRAHAM,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province, intituled “An Act to abate Nuisances caused by Dogs” it is amongst other things enacted that the said Act shall come into operation from time to time in such districts as shall be proclaimed by the Superintendent in the Auckland Provincial Gazette, to come within the operation of the said Act.

Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority in me vested in that behalf, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby proclaim and declare that on and after the first day of May now next ensuing, the district comprising the town of Russell, Bay of Islands, as the same is defined by the description hereto annexed, shall come and be within the operation of the said recited Act.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this thirty-first day of March,
One thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

All that portion of the peninsula of Kororareka lying west of the Matawai Creek, and of a line running north-east from the source of the Matawai Creek to the sea at Oneroa Bay.

HEREBY notify for general information, that a Writ, issued by me on the sixteenth day of March instant, for the Election of a Member of the Provincial Council, for the District of Raglan, has been returned with an endorsement thereon as follows:—

“I hereby declare John LUNDON, Esq., to be duly elected a Member of the Provincial Council of Auckland, for the District of Raglan.”

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the first meeting of the electors of the “Panmure District” has, in accordance with the provisions of the “Highway’s Act 1862,” presented to me in writing, the names of the undermentioned Gentlemen elected Highway Trustees for that District.
