IN Pursuance of the powers vested in me by the “City Board Act, 1863,” I hereby appoint

BENJAMIN MACLEAN, Esquire,

to be Auditor of the Accounts of the City Board.

I HEREBY notify for general information that, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, I have appointed

RICHARD DAY, Esq., M.D.,

to be a Commissioner of the Board of Education, vice Mr. W. Phillips, deceased.

PUBLIC SLAUGHTER-HOUSE, NEW-MARKET.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 1st October, 1863.

TENDERS will be received at this office until noon of Tuesday, 13th October instant, from persons desirous of Leasing the Public Slaughter-house at Newmarket, from 15th October till 31st December, 1863, inclusive.

Information as to conditions, &c., may be obtained at this office.
