PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 17th August, 1863.
I HEREBY notify for general information, that a Memorial, signed by a majority in number of all persons having such interest in the District of Kaurihohore, as is required by the "Highways Act, 1862," praying that the operation of the said Act may be extended to the said District, has been received by me:
And I do hereby declare that the "Highways Act, 1862," shall henceforth be in full operation within the said District of Kaurihohore.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the second clause of the "Highways Act, 1862," I do hereby declare that the lands comprised within the several boundaries hereunder described shall be a district under the said Act, and that such district shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say,—
THE DISTRICT OF WHAU WHAU:—all those lands in the County of Marsden, comprised within the Whau Whau Block, including all roads traversing those lands.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this nineteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

I hereby give notice that I claim to have my name enrolled as a voter for the election of a Board of Trustees for the District of Whau Whau (as Landsdownes, Lessee, or Mortgagee, in possession as the case may be) and that the particulars of my claim are

N.B.—The fares authorised to be charged under the present contract are, six-pence (6d.) for each foot passenger, one shilling (1s.) for each passenger with a horse.
