The tenders may either be delivered at this office or transmitted by post, but must in either case be endorsed "Tender for Totara Piles," and be addressed to the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
On delivery of any portion of the piles contracted for, payment will be made of 75 per cent. of the price thereof, and the balance on completion of the contract.

To be delivered on the space between the Hulk, at present used as a Blacksmith’s Forge, and Custom-house-street, one half of the number on or before 16th March next, and the remainder on or before 2nd May next.
The Piles to be of live (or green) wood, and are to have the bark on as many of them as possible, when they are delivered.
Tenders for Panmure Ferry Service.
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 9th January, 1863.
TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Saturday, the 24th January instant, for working the Punt and Boat at the Panmure Ferry, and maintaining the same in good repair, from the 1st February till the 31st December 1863 inclusive, according to a specification which may be seen on application at the above named office.

TO be Lent on Mortgage, for such period as may be agreed upon, the sum of Five Hundred Pounds (£500).
Tenders for the above, specifying the rate of interest, the nature and particulars of the security proposed to be given, and the length of time for which the loan will be taken, will be received at this Office until noon of Saturday, the 24th day of January instant.

Tenders for Eradicating Thistles, Karangahape District.
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 9th January, 1863.
TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Monday, the 19th January instant, from persons willing to contract for eradicating and destroying all noxious Thistles growing upon any of the Waste Lands of the Crown, lands belonging to the Aboriginal Natives, and on any public road or reserve within the "Karangahape District" as hereinafter described, from the 20th January till the 30th June, 1863.
The boundaries of the District are on the North, the Northern boundary of Lot 1 of the Parish of Waipareira; on the East, the Waitemata Creek and Harbour, the Whau Creek, and the Whau Portage; on the South, the Manukau Harbour; on the West, the Sea; and on the North-west, the North-western boundary of the Waitakerei Block, the Wairere Stream the Western boundary of the Parish of Waipareira, and the Kumeu Stream.
Tenders to be endorsed "Tender for Eradicating Thistles Karangahape District."
