PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 19th July, 1863.
WHEREAS it has been represented to me that a general desire is felt by the inhabitants of this Province, to shew their loyalty to the Queen and Royal Family by keeping a Public Holiday in honour of the Marriage of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. I hereby appoint WEDNESDAY, the first day of July next to be observed as a Public Holiday throughout the Province of Auckland, in honour of that happy event.

PROCLAMATION.
By ROBERT GRAHAM, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the “City Board Act, 1863,” it is amongst other things enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent after the passing thereof, at such time as he shall think fit, to delegate to the City Board all or any of the powers conferred upon him by the “Auckland Building Act, 1858,” and after the publication of any such delegation in the Provincial Government Gazette the said powers so delegated shall be exercised by the said Board in the same manner as if the same had been conferred on the said Board by the said Act.
Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby delegate to the said Board all the power conferred upon me by the said “Auckland Building Act, 1858.”
Given under my hand at Auckland, in the said Province, the nineteenth day of June, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

NOTICE.
Assisted Immigration.

Auckland, 19th June, 1863.
NOTICE is hereby given that persons resident in this Province who are desirous to assist their friends in England or elsewhere to obtain passages to Auckland, may, from this date until further notice, have passages provided by the Provincial Government for such persons as may be approved, by entering into a bond, together with two approved sureties, for the re-payment of the amount paid for the passage of such persons; the re-payment to be made by instalments within two years after the arrival of the Immigrants.
Forms of application may be obtained at the Immigration Office, Princes-street, where, on being filled up, they should be lodged, between
