NOTICE.

I HEREBY notify that I have appointed

Mr. G. W. Bradley,

to be Inspector of Sheep for the “Mangonui Sheep District.”

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf, by “The Sheep Act, 1858,” the Superintendent of the said Province do hereby appoint and constitute all that portion of the said Province which comprises the whole of the Hokianga County, and so much of the County of Bedford as lies to the northward of the Elizabeth River, to be a district for the purposes of the said Act, under the name of “The Bay of Islands Sheep District.”

Given under my hand at Auckland, the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.

PROCLAMATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS, by the “Sheep Act, 1858,” the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland is empowered to declare, by Proclamation in the Provincial Government Gazette, to declare that the said Act should come into operation within any District, and thereby to proclaim the limits of the district.

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the powers and authority in me vested, I, the said Superintendent, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said “Thistle Act, 1858,” shall, on and after the first day of May next, come into operation within the Bay of Islands District, consisting of the Peninsula of Kororarika, bounded on the East by the neck between the Ngangeroa Creek of the Waikari River and Paroa Bay, and on all other sides by the sea; of all the land lying between the Kerikeri and Kawa-Kawa Rivers, bounded on the West by a direct line from the Kerikeri Falls to the East margin of the Omapere Lake, and a direct line from the Omapere Lake to the confluence of the fresh and salt water at the head or South-western extremity of the Kawa-Kawa Creek; together with the Islands of Moturoa, Arohia, Motu-rua and Motumea.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, in the said Province, this twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.

THISTLE ACT.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, April 29th, 1862.

I HEREBY notify that I have appointed

Mr. J. T. Bedgoood

to enter upon any land situated within the “Bay of Islands District,” for the purpose of ascertaining the existence of any noxious Thistles therein, and eradicating or destroying the same.
