PROCLAMATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province
of Auckland, in the Colony of
New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act made and passed
in the twenty-first year of the reign
of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled the
“Auckland Waste Land Act, 1858,” it is
among other things enacted that it should be
lawful for the Superintendent by Proclama-
tion to declare that a certain block of land
therein described should be set apart and re-
served for certain Immigrants expected to
arrive from the United Kingdom or elsewhere,
other than the Australian Colonies.

Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority
vested in me in that behalf, I, the Superin-
tendent of the Province of Auckland, do
hereby proclaim and declare that all that
portion of the Oruawharo Block as purchased
from the Natives and exhibited in Mr.
Wilson’s plan now in the Land Office,
excepting that portion proclaimed for sale
under date, estimated to contain 20,000
acres, shall be reserved and set apart for
certain Immigrants expected to arrive from
the United Kingdom.

land, this sixth day of
February, in the year of
our Lord, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-
two.
