PROCLAMATION.

By JOHN WILLIAMSON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by the “Thistle Act, 1858,” it was amongst other things enacted that it should be lawful for the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland from time to time by Proclamation in the Provincial Government Gazette, to declare that the said Act should come into operation within any District, and thereby to proclaim the limits of the District:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the powers and authority in me vested, I, the said Superintendent, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said “Thistle Act, 1858,” shall, on and after the first day of November next, come into operation within the Mangonui (extended) District, and the limits of the said (extended) District shall be on the North the Northern boundary of the Oruru block as surveyed by Mr. Campbell; on the South, the Wangaroa Harbour; on the East, the Sea; on the West, a direct line from the Western extremity of the Wangaroa Harbour to the source of the Oruru River, and thence the Western boundary of the Oruru block to the Northern boundary above described.

Given under my hand at Auckland, in the said Province, this eleventh day of October, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 11th October, 1862.

I HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the first meeting of the electors of the “West Tamaki District” has, in accordance with the provisions of the “Highways Act, 1862,” presented to me in writing, the names of the undermentioned Gentlemen elected Highway Trustees for that District.
