I HEREBY notify that the Run described below has been claimed by R. C. L. Reay.

Situation—The Waioneke Block, Kaipara.

Boundaries—Bounded on the N.E. by the Kaipara river, by a Native reserve, and by the Wiritoa block; on the S.W. by the sea; and on the S.E. by Native land.

Estimated extent (exclusive of sand hills)—10,000 acres.

Number and description of Stock upon the run (to commence with)—500 sheep.

I HEREBY notify that the Run described below has been claimed by Mr. E. W. Packey.

Situation—District of Tangonge, Mongonui County.

Boundaries—Bounded on the North by a line from Motutangi on the East Coast to Wai-ihi on the West Coast (being the Southern boundary of Subritzky’s run); on the West by the sea; on the South by the Ahipara block; and on the East by the base of the hills on the West of the Awanui river, by Rangounou Bay, and by the sea; excluding Maxwell’s and Ford’s land, and Mackay’s claim.

Estimated extent—42,000 acres.

Number and description of stock upon the run (to commence with)—800 sheep.

BEACON ON REEF OFF BROWN’S ISLAND.

Port Office, Auckland,
2nd August, 1862.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Beacon off Brown’s Island (lately run down by some vessel) has been re-erected about fifteen fathoms inshore (in a Southerly direction) of its former position, and now stands awash at low water spring tides.

It being of some importance that this Beacon should not be injured, Masters of vessels and other persons (for their safety and that of the structure) are hereby cautioned not to approach the said Beacon within a cables’ length or attempt to pass inshore of it.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that all persons claiming a right to vote at the election of a Board of Trustees for the Wairoa District under the Highways Act, 1862, are to send in their claims to James Speedy, Esq., Resident Magistrate at Papakura, on or before the 25th day of August instant, and that such claims must be in the form following:—

Form of Claim.

To James Speedy, Esq. (the person appointed by the Deputy of the Superintendent to receive claims).

I hereby give notice that I claim to have my name enrolled as a voter for the Election of the Highway Trustees for the District of Wairoa (as Landowner, Lessee, or Mortgagee, in possession, as the case may be) and that the particulars of my place of abode and qualification are as follows:—

Christian Name and Surname of Claimant, at full length. Place of Abode. Nature of Qualification. Number of Allotments and Sections, and Name of Occupying Tenant (if any) and situation of Property. Number of Acres. Allotment ... of Section ... of the Parish of ... (or part of as the case may be). Leaseholder or Freeholder, or both, or Mortgagee in possession, as the case may be. (Signed.)
