PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 14th Aug., 1862.
HEREBY notify for general information, that a Memorial, signed by a majority in number of all persons having such interest in the district of Tamaki West as is required by the “Highways Act, 1862,” praying that the operation of the said Act may be extended to the said district, has been received by me;
And I do hereby declare that the “Highways Act, 1862,” shall henceforth be in full operation within the said district of Tamaki West.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By Daniel Pollen, Esquire, Deputy of the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the second clause of the “Highways Act, 1862,” I do hereby declare that the lands comprised within the several boundaries hereinafter described shall be a district under the said Act, and that such district shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say,—
THE DISTRICT OF TAMAKI WEST:—
All those lands commencing at a point on the Tamaki River, in the centre of the road which forms the Southern boundary of lot No. 41 of the parish of Waitemata; thence along the centre of that road to the centre of another road which forms the Western boundary of lots Nos. 40 and 41 of said parish; thence along the centre of the road which forms part of the Southern boundary of lot 44 of said parish; thence along the Southern boundary of said lot 44 to the centre of the Scoria Reserve Road; thence in a straight line through lot No. 50 of said parish to the North Western angle of the Mount Wellington Reserve; thence along the Western boundary of said Reserve to the Southern angle of lot 50 aforesaid; thence along the Southern boundaries of lots Nos. 49 and 50 to the centre of the College road; thence along the centre of that road to the South Eastern angle of lot No. 26a of said parish; thence along the Southern boundaries of lots Nos. 26a and 12a of said parish to the South Western angle of lot No. 12a aforesaid; thence along the Western boundary of said lot No. 12a to the centre of the Tamaki road; thence along the centre of said road to the Western boundary of lot No. 38a of said parish; thence along the Western boundaries of lots Nos. 38a and 40a to the Waitemata Harbour; and thence along high water mark ordinary tides to the starting point on the Tamaki River, including all roads traversing the lands within the beforementioned boundaries.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this fourteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.
