PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent's Office, Auckland,
2nd December, 1861.

I HEREBY NOTIFY for general information that, by virtue of the authority vested in the Superintendent by the \"Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1858,\" I have appointed the undermentioned gentleman to be an Emigration Agent for the Province of Auckland:—

DEPASTURING LICENSES within the proclaimed Hundreds will be issued under the \"Crown Lands Ordinance,\" No. 1, Session 10, and No. 10, Session 11, to all persons being occupants of land under Crown Grants, or—in the case of Pensioners Natives, or Half-Castes—by permission of the Crown, applying for such license on or before the 1st January, 1862.

These licenses will be issued on payment of a fee of ten shillings and sixpence for each.

IT is hereby notified that the Native Title has been extinguished over the blocks of land, whereof the boundaries are mentioned or described in the Schedule hereunto annexed.

PROVINCE OF AUCKLAND.

District of Whangarei.—Mirowhakatiki Block.

Estimated to contain about 5,500 acres.
Boundaries,—

Commencing at Wairua river, below Purua, and following along Mr. Bedlington's survey line bearing by compass 116° 0', 13,252 links, to Ruatangata, 171° 33', 6001 links, 327° 1', 8122 links, to Patuwairua river, thence along that river to the survey line running to Popoki, 266° 40', 13,322 links, thence to Kaitara, 1° , 10,002 links, 13° 51', 9648 links, to Maruarua, following it for a short distance to the survey line bearing 299° 10', 7035 links, 108° 5', 14,221 links, to the Wairua river, thence following the course of Wairua to Mr. Bedlington's survey line, the point of commencement.

Ruatangata Block.

Estimated to contain about 5,450 acres.
Boundaries,—

Commencing at Okahanga on the Wairua river, and following along Mr. Bedlington's survey line, bearing by compass 279° 58', 7380 links, 282° 24', 2641 links, to the Motu on the Waipiu river, thence in the course of that river to Patuwairua river, thence along the Patuwairua river to the survey line bearing 327° 1', 8122 links, 171° 33', 6,001 links, to Ruatangata, 116° 0', 13,252 links, to the Wairua river, thence following the course of the Wairua river to Okahanga, to the point of commencement.
