LICENSING MEETING.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the Justices of the Peace for the District of Papakura, Drury, Wairos, Mauku, and Waiuku, will be held at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, at Drury, at 12 o’clock, noon, on Tuesday, the 16th day of April next, for the purpose of taking into consideration applications for Licenses to sell spirituous Liquors, Wine, Ale and Beer.

IMPOUNDED at the Public Pound, Newmarket, by Mr. Charles Knox, for trespassing on his land at the Tamaki.
One white Heifer, black about the head and neck, branded like J W or W on rump.
One white Heifer, red about the head and neck, branded like V. C. on the thigh.
One red Heifer, white on face, white back and belly, no visible brand.
No damages claimed. Owner unknown.

Impounded by John Stokes, for Mr. H. Hardington, for trespassing in his grass paddock at Onehunga,—
One red and white Heifer, black horns, no visible brand.
One red Heifer, white back and belly, piece out of right ear, no visible brand.
One red and white Heifer, branded like JW on the rump.
No damages claimed. Owner unknown.
If not claimed within eleven days after the date of this notice, application will be made to a Justice of the Peace for an order for the sale of the above-mentioned Heifers, agreeably to the provisions of the “Impounding Act, 1856.”

IMPOUNDED at the Public Pound, Otahuhu, by Messrs. McLean of Penrose, for trespassing on their enclosed paddock at Penrose,—
One light strawberry Heifer, hoop horns, branded like C. C. on off rump, D on near rump.
One strawberry Heifer, brown neck, cocked horns, branded like ) near rump, indistinct brand off rump.
One red and white Heifer, open horns, branded like C on the off rump.
No damages claimed. Owner unknown.
If not claimed within eleven days after the date of this notice, application will be made to a Justice of the Peace for an order for the sale of the above-mentioned Heifers, agreeably to the provisions of the “Impounding Act, 1856.”

1 red and white Poley or small-horn Steer, brand like C M on off rump. Owner unknown. Damages 5s.
1 red heifer Calf, piece off the near ear. Owner unknown. Damages 5s.
If not claimed within eleven days after the date of this notice, application will be made to a Justice of the Peace for an order for the sale of the above-mentioned cattle, agreeably to the provisions of the “Impounding Act, 1856.”
