PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, September , 1860.

HEREBY notify for general information that in accordance with the powers vested in the Superintendent by the “Auckland Waste Land Act, 1858,” the land hereinafter described has been reserved and set apart as a Place for the Interment of the Dead.

All that allotment of land, being No. 54 of Section No. 12, of the Suburbs of Auckland, bounded on the north-east by Lot No. 11 1055 links, on the south-east by a road 1465 links, on the south-west by a road 1170 links, and on the north-west by Lot No. 12, 1455 links.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland in that behalf, I hereby notify and declare that from and after the publication hereof, all that portion of the West side of Albert street, commencing at West Queen-street and terminating at Moore-street, shall be deemed and taken to be a public footpath, within the meaning of an Ordinance made and passed by the Lieutenant Governor and Legislative Council of New Zealand, intituled, “An Ordinance to provide for the protection of Foot-paths in the Colony of New Zealand.”

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this tenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty.

Onehunga, July 6, 1860.

At a Meeting, the Wardens all present, the following Bye-Law was made and agreed to:—

That all sheep are prohibited from grazing or running at large on the Hundred of Onehunga, all sheep so found may be impounded by the Wardens, or any person acting by their authority, and a fine of Sixpence for each will be charged, not exceeding the sum of Five Pounds altogether to be charged in any one case.

NOTICE.

It is requisite that all applications to the Provincial Government relating to the diversion or alteration of roads should be accompanied by a plan, executed by a licensed Surveyor, showing the nature of the proposed alteration.

at the Public Pound, Newmarket, by John Caldicutt, Ranger, for running on the Waste Lands of the Hundred of Auckland,—

One Yellow Poley Cow, white belly and little white on the back; branded J H on rump.
One Red Heifer Calf; no brand.
One White Heifer, red spots; no visible brand.
One Red and White Heifer Calf, short tail; no visible brand.

Fine, 5s. each. Owner unknown.

If not claimed within eleven days after the date of this notice, application will be made to a Justice of the Peace for an order for the sale of the above mentioned Cattle, agreeably to the provisions of the “Impounding Act, 1856.”

at the Public Pound, Newmarket, by Mrs. Austin, for trespassing in her garden at Onehunga,—

One Bay Horse, black points; star on face; no visible brand.
No damages claimed. Owner, William Blackburne.

Also,

Impounded, by A. Craig, for trespassing in his grass paddock at Epsom,—
One Dark Bay Horse, black points; branded D on the thigh.
No damages claimed. Owner unknown.

If not claimed within eleven days after the date of this notice, application will be made to a Justice of the Peace for an order for the sale of the above mentioned Horses, agreeably to the provisions of the “Impounding Act, 1856.”
