I HEREBY notify for general information that a Writ issued by me on the seventeenth day of October last for the election of two Members of the Provincial Council for the District of the City of Auckland, has been returned with an endorsement thereon as follows :—

I, Laughlin O’Brien, the Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the City of Auckland, I do hereby declare that in pursuance of the Writ to me directed bearing date the 17th day of October, 1859, the undermentioned Candidates are duly elected Members of the Provincial Council for the said District.
