PROCLAMATION.

By JOHN WILLIAMSON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act made and passed in the twenty-first year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled "The Auckland Waste Land Act, 1858," it is among other things enacted that it should be lawful for the Superintendent by Proclamation to declare that a certain Block of Land therein described shall be set apart and reserved for certain Immigrants expected to arrive from the United Kingdom or elsewhere, other than the Australian Colonies:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority vested in me in that behalf, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby proclaim and declare that all that Block of Land at Kohumaru, situated near Mongonui, containing 10,000 acres, shall be reserved and set apart for certain Immigrants expected to arrive from the United Kingdom.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this twenty-fourth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-nine.

I HEREBY notify that I have appointed Mr. WILLIAM ELLIS to perform the duties of Wharfinger of the Queen-street Wharf, and to receive all charges payable under the Wharf Regulations.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

I HEREBY notify for general information, that I have appointed the undermentioned gentlemen to be Emigration Agents for the Province of Auckland.

IMPOUNDED at the Public Pound, Otahuhu, by Richard McGee, for trespass in a grass paddock, at Pukaki,

1 Yellow and White Spotted Cow, White face, open horns, illegible brand off ribs.

1 Brindle Poley Heifer, no visible brand.

1 Red Snail Horned Steer, White Spot on face and belly, branded R near Rump.

1 Red Heifer, White back and belly, White star in forehead, 3 years old, open horns, branded W. D. off ribs.
Damages 5s. each. Owner unknown.

IMPOUNDED by Mr. William Walters, for trespass in an enclosed paddock at Pukaki,

1 Dark Red Bull, 3 years old, open horns, no visible brand.
Damages 5s. each. Owner unknown.

If not claimed within eleven days after the date of this notice, application will be made to a Justice of the Peace for an order for the sale of the above mentioned Cattle, agreeably to the provisions of the "Impounding Act, 1856."

NOTICE.

IMPOUNDED at the Public Pound, Otahuhu, by Mr. Richard McGee, for trespass in an enclosed paddock at Pukaki,

1 dark brown Horse, or pony, long tail, and shod. No visible brand.
Damages 5s. Owner unknown.

If not claimed within eleven days after the date of this notice, application will be made to a Justice of the Peace for an order for the sale of the above mentioned horse, agreeably to the provisions of the "Impounding Act, 1856."
