I HEREBY notify for general information that by virtue of the authority vested in the Superintendent by the “Auckland Waste Land Act 1858,” I have appointed the undermentioned gentlemen to be Emigration Agents for the Province of Auckland :—

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Monday, 14th June inst., for the construction of two Iron Beacons, and erecting the same off the Western Head of the Tamaki.
For Plan, Specification, and other information, application to be made to the Harbour Master.
Tenders to be sealed and endorsed “Tender for Beacons Tamaki Head.”

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Monday, the 14th proximo, for the Lighting, Cleaning, &c., of the City and Wharf Lamps from the 1st July 1858, to the 30th June, 1859.
Information can be obtained at the Roads Office.

N O T I C E.
NOTICE is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Justices of the Peace for the District of Howick, will be holden at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Howick, on Monday, the 28th day of June next, at the hour of twelve o’clock noon, for the purpose of granting Slaughter-house Licenses, in accordance with the 6th clause of the “Slaughter House Ordinance,” Session 8, No. 5.
Persons desirous of obtaining licenses as aforesaid, must, ten days before such Meeting, give to the Clerk of the Bench a notice in writing of their intention to apply for such license, and must describe in the said notice the house or place intended to be licensed.
