LICENSING MEETING.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual Licensing Meeting of the Justices of the Peace, for the Districts of Onehunga, Panmure, and Otahuhu, will be held at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, at Onehunga, on Thursday the 21st day of April next, at twelve o’clock noon, for the purpose of taking into consideration applications for licenses to sell spirituous liquors, wine, ale, and beer.

NOTICE is hereby given that this Office will be open daily “in the month of April next,” from the hour of ten o’clock, a.m., for the purpose of receiving Claims to the right of voting, under the “New Zealand Constitution Act,” for the “City or Auckland,” the “Suburbs of Auckland,” the “Pensioners’ Settlements,” the “Northern Division,” and the “Southern Division.”

BRANCH ROADS AND DISTRICT WORKS.

Superintendent’s Office, Auckland,
26th February, 1857.

NOTICE is hereby given to residents and proprietors in the outlying districts who desire to obtain facilities of communication with the great trunk roads and ports of the Province, that the Provincial Government is prepared to grant an equal sum to that contributed (whether in money or in labour) by the residents or proprietors in such districts, to be expended under proper supervision within the district, in improving branch roads, in the construction of bridges, or other necessary works.

QUEEN-STREET PIER.

TENDERS will be received at this office until noon of Monday, 23rd March proximo, for the work required in Extending and Widening the Queen-street Pier.

Particular information may be obtained at this office on and after 3rd March next.

PUBLIC SLAUGHTER-HOUSE, NEWMARKET.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 23rd February, 1857.

TENDERS will be received at this office until noon of Wednesday, 4th March proximo, from persons desirous of Leasing the Public Slaughter House, at Newmarket, for a period of one year.

Information as to terms, amount of income, &c., may be obtained at this office.

LANDING PLACES, SHOAL BAY.

Superintendent’s Office, Auckland,
February 26th, 1857.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Monday, the 9th March proximo, for the erection of two Jettys in Shoal Bay North Shore.
