NOTICE.

I HEREBY notify, for general information, that in accordance with the provisions of an Act for granting a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand, a writ having been issued for the election of a member of the Provincial Council for the undermentioned Electoral District, to serve in the place of Daniel Pollen, Esquire, resigned, the Returning Officer of the said District has returned the said writ with a certificate to the effect that the undermentioned gentleman has been duly elected a member of the Provincial Council for the said District.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of MONDAY, the 9th February, for the conveyance, twice a week, until 31st December next, of Mails between Auckland and Onehunga, Otahuhu, Papakura, Papakura and Waiuku, Papakura and Wairoa, Auckland and St. John’s College, Panmure, Howick, and Tura-nga Creek.

The Contractors will be required to give Bonds, with two sureties, for the due performance of their contracts.

Further information may be obtained on application at this Office.
