I WILLIAM BROWN, Superintendent of
the Province of Auckland, do hereby no-
tify, for general information, that the election
of persons to serve as Members of the Council
for the government of the City of Auckland,
commonly called the Auckland City Council,
which took place in the said City on the
twenty-eighth day of February last, was, and
is hereby declared to be, null and void, to all
intents and purposes whatsoever.

Waste Land Board.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waste
Land Board will meet for the transaction
of public business at the Surveyor-General's
Office, on Monday next, the 26th of March
inst., at Ten o'clock a.m.

to be Chief Commissioner of the Waste Lands
Board, and
Joseph May, Esq.,

Licensing Meeting.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the Annual
Licensing Meeting of the Justices of
the Peace for the City and District of Auck-
land will be holden at the Resident Magis-
trate's Court at Auckland on TUESDAY,
the seventeenth day of April, 1855, at
twelve o'clock noon, for the purpose of taking
into consideration applications for Licenses to
sell Spirituous Liquors, Wine, Ale, and Beer.

HIS Excellency the Officer administering
the Government has been pleased to ap-
point
Reader G. Wood, Esq.,
to be a Commissioner of the Waste Lands
Board, and 40 4s. 6d. a day Treasurer thereof on
behalf of the General Government, under the
New Land Regulations, published in the New
Zealand Government Gazette, dated 9th
February, 1855, and which this day come
into operation in the Province of Auckland.

TENDERS are requested for FORMING
and METALLING ROAD, to GOVERN-
MENT HOUSE.
Specifications may be seen on applica-
tion at the Superintendent's Office.
Tenders to be delivered on or before the
first of April at the Superintendent's Office,
before twelve o'clock, endorsed "Tender
for Road in Government House Grounds."
