SPECIAL OCCUPATION LAND.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honour WILLIAM BROWN, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

BY virtue and in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the provisions contained in the thirteenth section of the Regulations issued on the eighth of February last, by His Excellency the Officer administering the Government of New Zealand, for the sale, letting, disposal and occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Province of Auckland, in the said Colony, I the Superintendent of the said Province, do hereby, with the advice of the Executive Council thereof, proclaim and declare that the blocks of land hereinafter described shall be open for sale in the said Colony on and after the first day of October next, that is to sayβ€”

1st. All that piece or parcel of land set apart as Special Occupation Land, being the easternmost portion of the Wainui block, estimated to contain 5,100 acres.

2nd. All that piece or parcel of land set apart as Special Occupation Land in the Parish of Papakura, estimated to contain 475 acres.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this thirtieth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five.

NOTICE.

Waste Land Board Office, Auckland,
28th August, 1855.

THE undermentioned Blocks of Land are hereby proclaimed by the Waste Land Board as open to settlement as General Country Land on and after the 12th day of September, 1855.

  1. All the land not selected and not set apart as Special Occupation Land in the Parish of Wairoa, estimated to contain 1,161 acres.

  2. All the Land not set apart as Special Occupation Land, situated on the west side of the Opoturu Creek, Waingaroa, estimated to contain 176 acres.

RETURNS OF STOCK.

Waste Land Board Office,
Auckland, 21st of August, 1855.

The attention of persons depasturing cattle upon Crown Lands outside the boundaries of Proclaimed Hundreds, is called to the 12th clause of the Crown Lands Ordinance, (13 Vict. Session No. 1) which requires that returns of all cattle so depastured, shall be deposited with the Commissioner of Crown Lands, during the ensuing month (September) under a penalty for each of fence, of not less than twenty shillings, nor more than twenty pounds.

Forms of the return required by the Ordinance can be obtained at this office.
