NOTICE

Auckland, March 1st, 1854.

A MEETING of the Harbour Commissioners will be held in the Mechanics' Institute, at twelve o'clock, at noon, on WEDNESDAY, the 15th instant, for the purpose of filling a vacancy in the Harbour Commissioners, caused by Mr. William Brown, one of the Committee elected on the 16th February, having declined to act.

IT having been duly certified to me that two Vacancies have occurred in the City Council, Notice is hereby given that the Election of two Members, to fill the vacancies aforesaid, will take place on WEDNESDAY, the 22nd instant.

Survey Office, Auckland,
16th Feb., 1854.

WHEREAS it will be necessary that all plans of surveys of land between Wangapraus and Wangarei, made by Licensed Surveyors, should be examined by the District Surveyor, it is requested that, when practicable, such plans should be first forwarded to that officer, at his Station at Mahurangi.

HEREBY notify, for the information of all persons concerned, that, in conformity with the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11, and 12 Vic., sess. 1, cap. 107, I have convened meetings of the holders of Departuring Licenses, in the several undermentioned Hundreds, and that the persons whose names are subjoined have been duly elected by such holders to be Wardens, under the said Ordinances, for the current year, as follows:

For the Hundred of Auckland.
William Edgecombe, John Russell, and Benjamin Turner.

For the Hundred of Onshunga.
Patrick Donovan, Henry Hayr, and John O'Neill.

For the Hundred of Panmure.
T. Haultain, Joseph Brennan, and James Cleary.

For the Hundred of Otahuhu.
J. S. S. Hickson, John McAnulty, and W. Meehan.

For the Hundred of Howick.
Alexander Macdonald, William Mason, and Lachlan M'Inniss.

For the Hundred of Pupuke.
James Hammond, Benjamin Menary, and Thomas Poynton.
