COLONIAL SECRETARY'S OFFICE,
Auckland, June 18th, 1850.
His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified, for general information, that he has been pleased to appoint John Johnson, Esquire, to be a Justice of the Peace for the Colony of New Zealand.

NOTICE TO CLAIMANTS.
Persons having claims upon the estate of John Doe, late of Wellington, Merchant, deceased, are requested to forward the same, properly authenticated, to the undersigned, on or before the 1st day of August next; and all persons indebted to the said estate are required to make immediate payment.

On the 10th instant, at St. Paul's Church, Auckland, by the Rev. John Morgan, Edward Green, Esq., of Wellington, Merchant, to Elizabeth, eldest daughter of George Smith, Esq., of Auckland.
DIED.
On the morning of the 14th instant, at his residence in Auckland, Henry Grey, Esq., late Colonial Secretary, aged 52 years.
