And whereas by the 43rd Clause of the said Ordinance, it is enacted that in the construction and for the purposes of the said Ordinance, the term "cattle" shall be deemed and taken to mean and to include horses, mares, geldings, colts, fillies, asses, mules, bulls, cows, oxen, heifers, steers, rams, ewes, sheep, lambs, goats, and swine; and the word "town" shall be taken to mean any town which may be proclaimed by the Superintendent for the purposes of the said Act:
And whereas by a Proclamation dated the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, His Honor the Superintendent did, under his hand and the public Seal of the Province, appoint me, Henry Lee Robinson, to be his Deputy within the Province so long as he shall be absent from such Province:
Now therefore, I, Henry Lee Robinson, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Westland, do hereby proclaim and declare that the above-mentioned Ordinance shall be, and the same is, hereby brought into operation within the towns of Stafford and Goldsborough.
Given under my hand, at Hokitika, this nineteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the 30th Section of "The Westland Education Ordinance, 1874," it is amongst other things enacted that the Central Board of Education, subject to the consent of the Superintendent, shall have power from time to time to constitute new Educational Districts, and to alter the boundaries of any Educational Districts:
And whereas by a Proclamation, dated the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, and published in the Province of Westland Gazette, No. 20, of the 27th July, 1875, His Honor the Superintendent did, under his hand and the public Seal of the Province, appoint me, Henry Lee Robinson, to be his Deputy within the Province of Westland so long as he shall be absent from such Province:
And whereas the Central Board of Education have, with my consent, constituted a new Educational District, called "The Jackson’s Bay Educational District":
And whereas by the 7th Section of the said Ordinance it is enacted that whenever any new District shall be established after the passing of the said Ordinance, the ratepayers in every such District shall, on a day and at a time to be fixed for that purpose by the Superintendent, elect six ratepayers to form the Local Committee for such District:
Now therefore, I, Henry Lee Robinson, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Westland, in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf, do hereby fix that the nomination of Candidates for the Local School Committee for the Jackson’s Bay Educational District shall take place on Monday, the 6th day of December next, and the Poll, if necessary, will be held on Monday, the 13th day of December next, at the Government Store, Jackson’s Bay.
Given under my hand at Hokitika, this twenty-sixth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.
