CHARLES DOUGLAS,
at the rate of ten shillings an acre.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Province of Westland, containing by admeasurement seven hundred acres, more or less, situate in the Totara District.
Bounded on the north-west and west by Rural Sections 1493 and 1577; on the north and north-east by the road reserve along the Paringa River; on the south-east by a line at right angles to the general direction of the Paringa River; and on the south-west by a line 80 chains distant from and generally parallel to the Paringa River; exclusive of roads and surveys and necessary reserves.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honorable Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty’s Most Honorable Privy Council, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued at Wellington, this 8th day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

JAMES FERGUSSON, GOVERNOR.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in me vested in this behalf by The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870, I hereby reserve the land in the Province of Westland, described in the Schedule hereunto annexed, for the uses specified therein.
SCHEDULE.
Town of Okarito South.
Five (5) acres, more or less, situate in the Town of Okarito South; bounded on the south-westward by Prince-street, five hundred (500) links; on the north-westward by Alexander-street, one thousand (1000) links; on the north-eastward by a line at a right angle with the last-mentioned boundary, five hundred (500) links; and on the south-eastward by East Road, one thousand (1000) links; for the uses of the Colonial Government and for railway purposes.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honorable Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty’s Most Honorable Privy Council, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, at Wellington, this 18th day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

WE, the undersigned Commissioners of the Waste Lands Board of the Province of Westland, in accordance with the provisions of Section 34 of The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870, do hereby notify that Tuesday, the 6th day of October, at noon, in the Land Office, at Hokitika, is fixed as the time and place when an auction sale of Town and Suburban Lands shall take place.
