Change of purpose of Reserve No. 451 (late Public Common Reserve).


WHEREAS by a Proclamation issued by
His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government dated the seventh day of
May, 1873, and published in The New
Zealand Gazette
, No. 30, of the 15th May,
1873, it was ordered that the purpose for
which Reserve No. 451 (in red) was originally
made should be changed, to the intent
that the parcel of land described in the
Schedule thereto should, under the provisions
of The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870,
be made a reserve for the purposes of a
Public Cricket Ground, and that the residue
of such original reserve should be sold as
thereinafter mentioned: Provided that before
such change should take effect, the Waste
Lands Board of the Province of Westland
should publish at least two calendar month’s
notice thereof in The Province of Westland Gazette.

Now therefore, it is hereby notified that
the purpose for which Reserve No. 451 was
originally made is changed, to the intent that
the said parcel of land also described in the
Schedule hereto, and being portion of said
original reserve, is made a reserve for the
purposes of a Public Cricket Ground (and
numbered 451 in red) and the residue of such
original reserve shall be sold.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Province of
Westland, containing twenty-six acres, more
or less, situate near the Town of Hokitika;
bounded on the South by the Hokitika River;
and on the West, North and East, by an
overflow channel. For a Cricket Ground.


Sale of Part of Reserve No. 451 (late Public Common Reserve), near Hokitika.


WHEREAS by a Proclamation issued

May, 1873, and published in The New
Zealand Gazette
, No. 30, of the 15th of
May, 1873, it was ordered that the purpose
for which Reserve No. 451 was originally
made should be changed, and the parcel of
land described in the schedule thereto should,
under the provisions of The Westland
Waste Lands Act, 1870
, be made a reserve
for the purposes of a Public Cricket Ground,
and that the residue of the original reserve
should be sold as thereinafter mentioned; and
it was ordered that the residue of such
original reserve remaining after the creation
of the so intended reserve for a Public Cricket
Ground should be sold, and that the time,
place, and conditions of such sale should be
fixed by the Waste Lands Board of the
Province of Westland, and should be published
in The Province of Westland Gazette, at
least two calendar months before such sale
should take place:

It is hereby notified that on Thursday, the
sixteenth day of April next, at the Land
Office, Hokitika, the residue of the said
original Reserve No. 451, will be offered to
the occupiers in the subdivisions, and at the
prices mentioned in the schedule hereunto
annexed.

The subdivisions will be offered to the oc-
cupiers after the termination of the sale of
Reserves Nos. 803 and 444, and must be
purchased, and the purchase money paid to
the Receiver of Land Revenue.
