NOTICE is hereby given that DANIEL FLANAGAN, JOSEPH BARRETT, being constables in Her Majesty’s Police, stationed at Greymouth, have this day been appointed by the Council of the Borough respectively proper officers of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the said Borough of Greymouth, for the purpose of performing the duties and doing the acts and things authorised or required to be done under the 42nd and 43rd provisions of the first part of the thirteenth schedule of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867."

BOROUGH OF GREYMOUTH.

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in "The Municipal Corporations’ Act, 1867," that the Council of the Borough of Greymouth have proclaimed and declared that the place, or enclosure erected upon part of section No. 46, Gresson-street, Greymouth, shall be deemed and taken to be a public pound within the meaning of the Acts and Ordinances specified in the said "Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," authorising and regulating the impounding of cattle: And further that in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in the above recited Acts and Ordinances, the said Council have "subject to the approval of the County Chairman of the County of Westland," appointed and fixed the following fees and charges to be paid in respect of cattle impounded in the public pound so appointed and established in and for the Borough of Greymouth.

POUND FEES.

For each Entire Horse above the age of twelve months 2 6
For each mare, gelding, colt, filly, foal, mule, ass, goat or pig 1 0
For each bull, above the age of twelve months 2 6
For each ox, cow, steer, heifer, or calf, first ten 0 6
For each ox, cow, steer, heifer, or calf, next ten 0 4
For each ox, cow, steer, heifer, or calf, next thirty 0 3
For each ox, cow, steer, heifer or calf, above fifty 0 2
For each ram above the age of nine months 1 0
For each ewe, wether, or lamb, first twenty 0 3
For each ewe, wether, or lamb, next thirty 0 2
For each ewe, wether, or lamb, next fifty 0 1
For each ewe, wether, or lamb, above one hundred 0 ½

The above fees to be paid for each day or part of a day, during which the animal is kept in the pound.

CHARGES FOR FOOD.

For every horse, mare, gelding, mule, ass, colt, filly or foal 0 0

The above charges to be paid for every day or part of day during which the animal is supplied with food and water by the Pound-keeper.
