Now therefore, I Henry Lee Robinson,
Chairman of the County Council of Westland,
in exercise of the powers vested in me in that
behalf, do hereby give notice that on the
first day of September, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-three, intend to demise
to the persons named in the schedule hereto
annexed certain auriferous Crown Lands of
alluvial ground for the term specified in the
said schedule.
Given under my hand, at Hokitika,
this seventeenth day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

annexed, to be granted in payment for public

Five hundred and forty-seven acres, three
roods, more or less; bounded on the North
by section 1562, on the West by the Poerua
River, on the East by the Bell Hill track,
and on the South by a line to include the
quantity; subject to necessary reserves and
gold workings.
One hundred acres, more or less, bounded
on the North by land reserved in payment
for public works, on the West by the Poerua
River, on the East by the Bell Hill track,
and on the South by a line to contain the
quantity; subject to necessary reserves and
gold workings.
Ninety acres, more or less, bounded on the
North by land reserved in payment for public
works, on the West by the Poerua River, on
the East by the Bell Hill track, and on the
South by a line to include the quantity;
subject to necessary reserves and gold workings.
Three hundred and twenty-four acres,
more or less, commencing at or near Puzzle
Creek, and extending Southerly along Bell
Hill track, and bounded on the East by a line
forty chains from, and generally parallel to
the said track, and on the Southward by a
straight line to include the quantity; subject
to necessary reserves and gold workings.

It is hereby notified for general information, that the following alteration is
made in the condition upon which a special
claim was granted to Morrice and party, and
published in The County of Westland Gazette, No. 12, of the 22nd May, 1871.
In condition No. 1, in the second line, for
word “twenty-six,” read “twelve.”
