HIS Excellency the Officer Administrating
the Government has been pleased to appoint

Mr. Hugh Boyle

to be Receiver of Gold Revenue at Maori
Gully, Grey District, in the County of
Westland.

Upset Price and Size of Sections fixed under
The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870.

Government.

IN pursuance of the power and authority
vested in me for that purpose by the
thirty-third section of The Westland Waste
Lands Act, 1870
, I, Sir George Alfred
Arney, the Administrator of the Government
of the Colony of New Zealand, hereby
authorise the sale of the unsold portion of the
Kanieri Township, as described in the
attached Schedule, at the upset price of
thirty-five pounds per acre; and I do hereby
determine that the size of the sections shall be one-
eighth of an acre in the case of unoccupied
sections, and in the case of occupied sections
as laid out by the Chief Surveyor, the upset
price and size of such sections, hereby deter-
mined, being fixed in accordance with the
recommendation of the County Council of the
said County, as expressed in a resolution
passed by that body on the tenth of March,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the County of
Westland, bounded on the Westward by the
east boundary of Section 20, Kanieri Town-
ship; on the Southward by Cobden’s Quay;
on the Eastward by the west boundary of
Camp Reserve, No. 464; and on the North-
ward by a line 250 links north of and parallel
to the north boundary of Cobden’s Quay.

Given under the hand of His Excellency
Sir George Alfred Arney, Knight,
Administrator of the Government, and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and
its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of
the same; and issued at Wellington,
this nineteenth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-three.

Sale of Land to Henry Diedrichs authorised at
Ten Shillings per Acre.

Government.

IN exercise of the power in me for this
purpose vested by The Westland Waste
Lands Act, 1870
, I, Sir George Alfred
Arney, the Administrator of the
Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby authorise the sale of the land
described in the Schedule hereto to Henry
Diedrichs, at the rate of ten shillings per acre.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the County of
Westland, containing by admeasurement two
thousand acres, more or less, situate in Block
XXVIII., Arahura District, commencing at a
point on the north bank of the Hokitika
River, about three-quarters of a mile to the
west of the first gorge, and from thence ex-
tending westerly along the Hokitika River,
and bounded on the northward by G.K.
track, and on the eastward and westward by
straight lines at right angles to the general
direction of G.K. track. Subject to necessary
reserves and gold workings.

Given under the hand of His Excellency
Sir George Alfred Arney, Knight,
