NOTICE TO MARINERS.
WEST COAST OF NORTH ISLAND.
Customs Department (Marine Board),
Wellington, August 1, 1872.
NOTICE is hereby given, that on and after the 10th day of August, 1872, a bright Fixed White Light will be exhibited from the Flagstaff on Wanganui North Head, at a height of sixty-five (65) feet above high water, and will be visible in clear weather at a distance of thirteen (13) miles, allowing ten (10) feet for the height of the observer’s eye.
This Light will show all round the horizon seaward; and Masters of Vessels are hereby warned that this is not a guiding light, wherewith to clear any danger, but it is intended solely to enable them to keep their position off the port.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Vaccination Act, 1871,” I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix the several places mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto as and to be places at which each Public Vaccinator appointed under the said Act for the place or places mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule shall attend for the purpose of performing vaccination, as required by the said Act; and further, do fix and appoint the days and hours mentioned in the third column of the said Schedule as the days and hours at and during which each such Public Vaccinator shall attend for the purposes aforesaid.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.
