HOKITIKA, MONDAY, AUGUST 19, 1872.
It is hereby notified that the boundaries of
Block XLIII (suburban), as gazetted in The County of Westland Gazette, No. 25, of the 17th August, 1870, have been extended by the Waste Lands Board, as follows :—
Block XLIII. (Suburban.)
TOTARA DISTRICT.
Situate on the south side of the Hokitika river; bounded on the Westward by a road reserve one chain wide above high water mark along Mahinapua river and Hokitika lagoon; on the Northward by a continuation of the last mentioned boundary and the Bridge Reserve; on the Eastward by the Railway Reserve, No. 25; and on the Southward by Block No. X; exclusive of necessary reserves and subject to gold-workings.

SCHEDULE.
Block LXXV. (Rural.)
GREY DISTRICT.
Situate on the Hohonu and Marsden road; and bounded on the North-west by a straight line bearing 45° and 225° (magnetic) through traverse peg No. 54; on the North-east by a straight line 40 chains east of and generally parallel to the Marsden road, and by the Hohonu and Marsden road; on the South-east by a straight line bearing 45° (magnetic) through traverse peg No. 45, and by the Hohonu and Marsden road; and on the South-west by a straight line bearing 300° (magnetic) through road traverse peg No. 76, and by a straight line west of and generally parallel to the Hohonu and Marsden road; exclusive of necessary reserves and subject to goldworkings.

It is hereby notified, in accordance with the provisions of section forty-three of The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870, that the land described in the schedule hereunto annexed is open for sale.

NOTICE is hereby given, that in accordance with sections 27, 33, and 39, of The Weights and Measures Act, 1868, all persons carrying on business as bankers, jewellers, miners, and gold dealers in the County of Westland, are imperatively required to send their scales and weights for weighing gold to be tested and stamped at the Inspector’s Office, Hokitika, within fourteen days from the date hereof, or they...
