thence South-westerly at right angles, a
distance of 473 links; thence Westerly under
bearings 119° (magnetic), 114° (magnetic),
and 98° 53’ (magnetic), a distance of 229,
268,395 and 560 links respectively; thence
Northerly in a straight line bearing 7° 2’
(magnetic), to South boundary of special
claim T. 432; and thence along the South
and East boundaries of said claim to the
commencing point.

Given under my hand, at Hokitika, this
first day of June, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-two.

SCHEDULE.

  1. The claim to be surveyed at the expense
    of Broader and party.

  2. Four men per acre, to be constantly
    employed on the claim. This condition may
    be temporarily relaxed at the discretion of the
    Warden of the District, provided that at no
    time shall a smaller number than fifteen men
    be kept working on the claim.

  3. The said Broader and party shall pay a
    yearly rent of One Pound (£1) per acre, in
    half-yearly payments.

  4. The said Broader and party shall have
    no right to sell or otherwise dispose of any
    part of the claim; this condition is not to
    affect the right to sell or dispose of shares.

  5. The said Broader and party shall comply
    with the directions of the Warden of the
    District with regard to the working of the
    claim.

  6. Clauses 25 and 29 of “The Mining
    Lease Regulations, 1871,” to be complied
    with by Broader and party.

that the following leases have been cancelled,
and that the ground is now open for
occupation,

Alexandra Gold Mining Company, 10 acres,
Donoghue’s.

Golden Gate, 5 acres 35 perches, Donoghue’s.

Malfroy & Co., 10 acres, German Gully.

Daly & Co., 10 acres, Jones’ Creek.

amended, by striking out the word “fifteen”
in the last line but one, and inserting the word

the Waste Lands Board of the
County of Westland, in accordance with the
provisions of section thirty-four of “The
Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870,” do hereby
notify, that Monday, 15th July next at
noon, in the Land Office, Hokitika, is fixed
as the time and place when an Auction Sale
of town and suburban lands shall take place.
