IT is hereby notified in accordance with the provisions of section sixty of “The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870,” that the Waste Lands Board have withdrawn from sale the land described in the Schedule hereto annexed, and being part of Rural Blocks X and XXXVI; and in accordance with section sixty-one of the said Act, the Waste Lands Board will, after the expiration of three months from the date of this notification, declare the said land open for sale as suburban land.

Situate in the Totara District, and comprising one hundred and ten (110) acres, more or less, bounded on the Northward by a line north of, and thirteen hundred and fifty (1350) links from and generally parallel to the north boundary of section 1414 (rural), and to South Creek; on the Eastward by South Creek; on the Southward by the north boundary of section 1415 (rural), by South Creek road, and by a straight line twenty-seven (27) chains south of and parallel to the north boundary; and on the Westward by the Ross road, and a straight line bearing 180° (magnetic) through South Creek traverse peg, No. 7; subject to necessary reserves and gold-workings.

The undersigned Jeremiah Yell, hereby by make application to register “The Sons of Freedom Gold Mining Company, Registered,” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

The name and style of the Company is “The Sons of Freedom Gold Mining Company, Registered.”

The place of operation is at Donoghue’s, near Ross, County of Westland.

The nominal capital of the Company is (£4200) four thousand two hundred pounds, in (6) six shares of (£700) seven hundred pounds each: (£667 15s.) six hundred and sixty-seven pounds fifteen shillings per share, being allowed to the present shareholders as paid up for their interest and moneys expended on the claim.

The amount already paid up is (£4006 10s.) four thousand and six pounds ten shillings, being cost of drainage tunnels, to lower shaft, thence to upper shaft and cross drainage tunnels, including (£736 10s.) seven hundred and thirty-six pounds ten shillings cash, expended by the present shareholders for purchases of lease, survey, and rent, plant, tools, horse, &c.
