OFFICERS in the service of the County Government are enjoined, not to take any active part in the forthcoming elections, otherwise than by recording their vote (vide Civil Service Regulations No. 19.)

IT is hereby notified for general information that
MR. DAVID O. PRESHAW,
has been appointed Clerk to the Lunatic Asylum on the Hospital Reserve in the room of Mr. Dunbar McCabe resigned.

IT is hereby notified that the boundaries of Block XLIV. (suburban) as Gazetted in the County of Westland Gazette, of August 17th, 1870, No. 25, are amended by the Waste Lands Board, as follows:β
Block XLIV. (Suburban).
Situate at the junction of the Hohonu with the Teremakau River. Bounded on the North and South by Terraces, on the West by the Teremakau River, and extending Easterly, a distance of one hundred and ten (110) chains along the North side, and ninety-five (95) chains along the South side of the Greenstone road; to exclude the site of what is known as the Junction Township.

IT is hereby notified, in accordance with the provisions of Section forty-three of "The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870," that the lands described in the Schedule hereunto annexed are open for sale.

Situate in the Okarito District. Bounded on the East by the Okarito Lagoon, on the South by Native Reserve No. 19, on the West by the Sea Coast, and on the North by a line Five (5) chains South of, and parallel to track N.H. as shown on the map of the Chief Surveyor.
Exclusive of Reserves and gold-workings.
Block LI. (Rural)
Situate in the Totara District. Bounded on the Southward by the Mikonui River, on the Westward by the Sea Coast, on the Northward by a line in continuation of South boundary of Block XXXIX. (Suburban) Thirty-five chains in length, and on the Eastward by a straight line bearing 215Β° (Magnetic) to the Mikonui River.

Block LII. (Suburban)
