ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington,
this twenty-seventh day of January, 1869.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by "The Gold Fields Act," 1866,* it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council, from time to time to make, alter, and revoke rules regulating the procedure and practice in the courts to be established under the said Act:

And whereas, by an Order in Council dated the seventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, and pub-


IN pursuance of the powers vested in me, and in conformity with clause 331 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," I hereby appoint

Duncan Macfarlane, Esq.,
to be a Fire Inspector for the Borough of Hokitika, and to exercise all the powers contained in clause 332 of the said Act.

Given under my hand at Hokitika, this
fourth day of February, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
