A PROCLAMATION.

In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in me vested in this behalf by The Resident Magistrates Act, 1867, I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the first day of June next, the jurisdiction of the Resident Magistrates’ Courts for the GreyMOUTH DISTRICT, and HOKITIKA DISTRICT, respectively, as the same are defined by Proclamation bearing date the fourth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine, shall be extended to One Hundred Pounds.

In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in me vested in this behalf by the Regulations for the Sale and Disposal of Waste Lands in the County of Westland, I hereby reserve the lands in the said County of Westland, the boundaries whereof are described in the Schedule hereunto annexed, for the uses of the Colonial Government and other public purposes, as in the said Schedule is more particularly specified.

SCHEDULE.

Arahura District.

Lot number fifty-two (52) (in red) commencing at the south-western corner of section 1124; thence southerly along the Mahinapua River road for a distance of ten (10) chains; thence easterly at a right angle to Reserve No. 9 (in red), and northerly along the boundary of said reserve to the south-east corner of section 1124, and westerly along the boundary of said section to the commencing point; containing seven (7) acres and one (1) rood, for Acclimatization Grounds.

Arahura District.

Lot number fifty-three (58) (in red), bounded on the Northward by a line opposite to and three (3) chains distant from the northern boundary of Reserve 52 (in red), and bearing 111 deg. 30 min. for a distance of six (6) chains and twenty (20) links; on the Eastward by a line at right angles to last boundary for a distance of ten (10) chains; and on the Southward by a line bearing 111 deg. 30 min. to the boundary of Reserve No. 9 (in red); and on the Westward to Reserve No. 9 (in red), containing seven (7) acres, for Acclimatization Grounds.

Hokitika.

Lot fifty-four (54) (in red) situate in Reserve No. 272 (in red) (Hokitika South), bounded on the Eastward by Pine Creek
