HOKITIKA TOWN LANDS,
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the last day on which improved town sections in Hokitika can be bought at the fixed price is Tuesday, the 4th of August.
The fixed price for sections within the Triangle is as follows:—
(1.) WITHIN THE TRIANGLE.
Where the depth of the section exceeds one chain—Thirty shillings per foot frontage.
Where the depth of the section does not exceed one chain—Twenty shillings per foot frontage.
(2.) OUTSIDE THE TRIANGLE.
The fixed price for sections outside the Triangle is Five shillings per foot frontage, without regard to the depth.
The frontage, and fixed price, of any section may be ascertained on application at the Survey Office.
All applicants will be required to prove to the satisfaction of the Board that they are the persons who are entitled to purchase the sections for which they apply, that their improvements are of the full value of £25, and that they were erected before the 1st of July, 1868.
All applicants are warned that they must place their names on the application book, at the Land Office, before appearing before the Board. This may be done on any day between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
All sections which are not sold at the fixed price, as before mentioned, will hereafter be put up to auction, on a day of which due notice will be given, at the following upset prices, that is to say:

Unimproved Sections — Forty-eight pounds per acre.

Improved Sections, where the improvements are of the full value of twenty-five pounds, and were erected before the 10th October, 1867.

In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in me vested in this behalf by the Regulations for the Sale and Disposal of Waste Lands in the County of Westland, I hereby reserve the lands in the said County, the boundaries whereof are described in the Schedule hereunto annexed, for the uses of the Colonial Government, and other public purposes, as in the said Schedule is more particularly specified.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
