WHEREAS by the Gibson’s Quay
Ordinance 1866 it is provided that it
shall be lawful for the Superintendent of the
Province of Canterbury to nominate and
appoint a Collector or other Officer necessary
to collect Rates under the said Ordinance,

I, John Hall, by virtue of the powers dele-
gated to me in that behalf, do hereby appoint:

Morde John Freckleton Cullis, Esq.,
to be the Collector under the said Ordi-
nance, to collect all Rates leviable at Gibson’s
Quay aforesaid.

Given under my hand at Hokitika, this
eleventh day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-eight.

In the matter of the Debtors and Creditors’
Act.

HIS Honour Edward Clarke, Esq.
has appointed that the Court shall sit
on Tuesday the 17th of March next, at
Eleven o’clock in the forenoon, in the Su-
preme Court House, Hokitika, for the trans-
action of business under the Acts above
referred to.
