SIR,—I have the honor to forward the Annual Report of the Sheep for the Wanganui District for the year ending January, 1876.

Unfortunately by this return you will find that there are two cases of scab in the district, whereas by the previous return the district was perfectly free; but with care and attention it will be easily overcome, as the owners are using every precaution to get rid of it.

By this return you will find an increase in the district of 14,206 over the past annual return.

Inspector of Sheep.
