THE Wanganui-Waitotara Highway Board, having examined the deposited Plan, Section, and Specification for the proposed “Otatoka Beach Road,” and considered the objections and suggestions made respecting such road, hereby order it to be constructed according to the line shown by such Plan, Section, and Specification.

NOTICE has been received at this office, under the hand of Mr. G. M. Snelson, Returning Officer, that the following gentlemen have been duly elected Wardens for the respective wards of the Manawatu Highway District, viz. —

  • Mr. George Farmer, for No. 1 ward
  • Mr. Henry Hammond, for No. 2 ward
  • Mr. John McPherson, for No. 3 ward
  • Mr. David McEwen, for No. 4 ward
  • Mr. Henry McNeil, for No. 5 ward

And also, notice having been received by His Honor the Deputy-Superintendent from Mr. G. M. Snelson, the Returning Officer for the above-named district, that at a meeting held on the second day of August, 1876, no wardens were elected for wards Nos. 6 and 7, His Honor the Deputy-Superintendent has been pleased to appoint

I HEREBY give notice that by virtue of a writ of Fi Fa issued out of the above Honorable Court and to me directed, I have caused my Bailiff to enter upon all that piece of land, being part of section numbered 135, situate in the town of Featherston, together with the appurtenances thereunto belonging, the property of the defendant, having been taken in execution at the suit of the execution creditor herein; and that it is my intention to sell or cause to be sold the freehold of the said piece of land by public auction, at the Resident Magistrate’s Courthouse, Featherston, on Saturday, the 11th day of November, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon, unless satisfaction be sooner made of the said judgment and all costs and expenses connected therewith. And I further give notice that Robert Hart and Patrick Alphonsus Buckley, of Wellington, are the solicitors for the said plaintiff.

Given under my hand and seal at Featherston aforesaid, this 7th day of August, 1876.
