Sir,—I have the honor to forward my Annual Report of the Sheep for the Wanganui District for the year ending January, 1874, and I am pleased to be able to report the District free from Scab this year.
By this return you will find an increase in the District of 19,843 over the last annual returns, and with the increase there must be in the Waitotara and Wairoa District, I expect a still further increase next year.

DAVID LEWIS, a Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15, Session XI., of the Legislative Council of the Islands of New Zealand, to hear and decide Claims to Land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New Zealand Company, report that the Claims of the under-mentioned persons, having been duly referred to me for investigation, I do hereby decide that the said persons are respectively entitled to Crown Grants of the land set against their names in the annexed Schedule.
