PROCLAMATION

By his Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

I, WILLIAM FITZHERBERT, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby in pursuance of the regulations in this behalf, proclaim and notify that the several allotments of land situated in the Te Are Pah Reserve, in the City of Wellington, and specified in the Schedule hereto, except such as may be reserved under the provision hereinafter mentioned, will be put up for sale by public auction at the auction room of Mr. Richard John Duncan, in the City of Wellington, on Tuesday, the third day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, at twelve o’clock noon.

If at any time during the sale it shall appear to the Commissioner of Crown Lands beneficial or expedient for the public service to reserve from sale either of the allotments specified in the said Schedule, or to vary the order in which they are to be put up, he is hereby authorised to do so.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

PROCLAMATION

By His Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by the Land Regulations now in force in the Province of Wellington it is declared that all reserves for the sites of townships, or suburban lands for the sites of Agricultural and Small Farm Settlements, or for any other purpose of public advantage, safety, convenience, health, or enjoyment, shall be determined by the Superintendent, who shall notify the same by Proclamation, wherein the object shall be specified for which any reserve shall be made: And whereas it would be of public advantage if a certain section of land in the township of Palmerston, in the Manawatu District, and which is fully set forth and described in the Schedule hereto, were set apart as a Reserve for a Cemetery:

Now I, therefore, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that suburban section No. 1537, in the township of Palmerston, in the Manawatu District, containing eight (8) acres three (3) roods and two (2) perches, more or less, is hereby reserved and set apart by me for a Public Cemetery.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land, being the suburban section numbered one thousand five hundred and thirty-seven (1537) on the plan of the township of Palmerston, in the Manawatu District, containing eight (8) acres three (3) roods and two (2) perches, more or less, bounded towards the North-east by a railway reserve six hundred and sixty-seven (667) links; towards the South-east by a public road two thousand three hundred and ninety-five (2395) links, and towards the South-west and North-west by a railway reserve eighty-seven (87) links and two thousand three hundred and twenty-five (2325) links respectively.

Election of Provincial Council Member for City of Wellington.

His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified for general information, that a Writ for the election of a member to serve in the Provincial Council, for the City of Wellington, having been issued in accordance with clause 12 of "An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand," the Returning Officer has returned the said Writ, with a certificate that the undermentioned gentleman has been duly elected to serve as a member of the Provincial Council for the said City of Wellington:
