WARD NO. 4.
Bounded towards the North by the inland boundary of the Confiscated Lands, towards the East by the Okotuku road, part of the Ngamotu road, a straight line between sections numbered 115 and 69, a straight line between sections 115 and 118, a swamp, and a straight line between sections 114 and 118, part of the Mangatangi road, part of the Moturoa road and a straight line between sections 88 and 89; towards the South by the Main road and towards the West by part of the Putahi road and the Kohi road.
WARD NO. 5.
Bounded towards the North by the back boundary of the Confiscated Lands; towards the East by the Waitotara river; towards the South by the Main road; and towards the West by a straight line between sections 88 and 89, part of the Moturoa and Mangitangi roads, a straight line between Sections 118 and 114, a swamp, a straight line between Sections 115 and 113, a straight line between Sections 115 and 69, part of the Ngamotu road and the Okotuku road.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
THE WARDS IN THE WANGANUI AND WAITOTARA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
WARD NO. 1.
The boundary commences at a point on the left bank of the Waitotara river, where the northern boundary line of the Waitotara purchased block strikes it; from thence it proceeds easterly along the said northern boundary line of the Waitotara purchased block, to the north-east corner of Native Reserve number 2; thence southerly to the south-east corner of section number 59, so as to include within its limits the said Native Reserve number 2, and sections numbers 43, 44, 61, 60, and 59; thence turning westerly along the shore of Cook’s Strait to the mouth of the Waitotara river; and thence northerly along the left bank of the Waitotara river to the starting point.
WARD NO. 2.
The boundary commences at the north-east corner of Native Reserve number 2, Waitotara Block; thence it proceeds easterly along the northern boundary lines of the Waitotara purchased block, of the Kai Iwi block, and of the Kaiwatu and Koatanui block, to the Mungaone stream; thence southerly along the said stream, along the Kai Iwi stream, and along the western boundary line of the Wanganui purchased block to the sea; thence turning westerly along the shore of Cook’s Strait to the south-east corner of section number 59 (Waitotara block); and thence northerly along the eastern boundary lines of Ward number 3 to the starting point.
WARD NO. 3.
The boundary commences at the north-western corner of section number 241, right bank Wanganui River; from thence it proceeds easterly to the eastern corner of section number 15, so as to include within its limits sections numbers 241, 245, 239, 241, 170, 157, 156, 91, 90, 89, 108, 85, 81, 83, 82, 81, 80, and 15; thence it proceeds southerly and easterly along the western and southern boundary lines of the Wanganui Town Belt to the River Wanganui; thence along the bank of the said river to its mouth; thence westerly along the shore of Cook’s Strait to the mouth of the Mowhauau Stream; and from thence northerly along the western boundary line of the Wanganui purchased block to the starting point.
WARD NO. 4.
The boundary commences at the junction of the Ohura Stream with the Wanganui River; thence it proceeds southerly along the right bank of the said river to the northern boundary line of section number 202; thence southerly to the north-east corner of section number 108, so as to include within its limits sections numbers 203, 201, and 207; also the application of S. Gray, for 115 acres; the Ngaturi Native Reserve, and sections numbers 70, 61, 186, 185, 112, 111, 110, and 109; thence it proceeds westerly along the northern boundary of Ward number 5 to the western boundary line of the Wanganui purchased block; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Ward number 4 to the northern boundary line of the same; thence westerly along the northern boundary lines of Wards numbers 4, 3, 2, and 1, to the north-western boundary line of the Province; and thence north-easterly along the said boundary line of the Province to the starting point.
WARD NO. 5.
The boundary commences at the northern corner of section number 202, right bank, Wanganui River; thence it proceeds southerly along the right bank of the said river to the north-east boundary line of the Wanganui Town Belt; thence north-westerly and south-westerly along the boundary lines of the said Town Belt to the eastern corner of section number 15; thence north-westerly along the north-east boundary line of Ward number 5 to the south corner of section number 108; and thence northerly along the eastern boundary of said section number 108 and along the eastern boundary lines of Ward number 6 to the starting point.
