DAVID LEWIS, a Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No.
15, Session XI., of the Legislative Council of the Islands of New Zealand, to hear
and decide Claims to Land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the
New Zealand Company, report that the Claims of the under-mentioned person
having been duly referred to me for investigation, I do hereby decide that the said
person is entitled to receive Crown Grants of the land set against his name in the
annexed Schedule.

Henry Luny Haswell
Entitled to receive Crown Grants of the
Sections Nos. 711, 943, 788, and 897 on
the plan of the City of Wellington. Also
to Rural Sections Nos. 64, 234, 197, and
195, on the plan of the Company’s surveyed
block at Manawatu. The rural sections
are subject to clause 6, “Land Orders
and Serip Act, 1858.” Also, that the
grants issue under the provisions of “The
Crown Grants Act, 1866,” in the name of
Frederick Thame Haswell, the legal estate
being antedvested therein as from the 9th
day of November, 1840. Subject to a
direction of the Commissioner.
Proclamation.
By His Honor William Fitzherbert,
Esq., C.M.G., Superintendent of
the Province of Wellington in
the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the Land Regulations
now in force in the Province of
Wellington, it is declared that all reserves
for the sites of Townships, or suburban
lands for the sites of Agricultural and
Small Farm Settlements or for any other
purpose of public advantage, safety, convenience, health, or enjoyment, shall be
determined by the Superintendent, who
shall notify the same by proclamation
wherein the object shall be specified for
which any reserve shall be made.
And whereas it would be of public
advantage if a certain section of land in
the township of Foxton, in the Manawatu
district as per Schedule hereto was set
apart as a Reserve for a Ferry. Now,
therefore I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in
virtue of the power and authority vested
in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that Town Section No. 169 in
the township of Foxton in the Manawatu
district, containing two acres one rood and
seven perches more or less, is hereby
reserved and set apart for a Ferry Reserve.
Given under the Public Seal of the
Province of Wellington, at Wellington,
this twenty-fourth day of March,
one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-five.

SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1
rood and 7 perches, more or less, being
Town Section No. 169 on the plan of the
township of Foxton in the Manawatu district, bounded towards the North by the
Motea Road, 665 links; towards the East
by Section No. 161, 400 links; towards the
South by Sections Nos. 161 and 162;
483 links; and towards the South-west by
a Public Road 439 links.
Election of Commissioner.

Honor the Superintendent, under
the hand of Henry Taylor, Esq., Returning
