Proclamation.
By His Honor William Fitzherbert,
Esquire, C.M.G.,
Superintendent
of the Province of Wel-
lington, in the Colony of New
Zealand.
WHEREAS by the 8th Section of “The
Wellington Waste Land Regulations
Amendment Act, 1871,” the Superinten-
dent of the Province of Wellington is em-
powered to withdraw from sale at any time
by Proclamation, any Waste Lands of the
Crown which it may appear expedient for
public interests, should be so withdrawn.
Now therefore I, William Fitzherbert, Su-
perintendent of the Province of Wellington,
in virtue of the powers vested in me by the
above recited Act, do hereby withdraw from
sale from this date all the Waste Lands of
the Crown situated within the boundaries
set forth and described in the Schedule
hereto, and delineated on the plan attached.
Given under my hand, and issued
under the public seal of the Pro-
vince of Wellington, at Wel-
lington, this tenth day of Feb-
ruary, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-four.

Schedule.
Bounded towards the North-east by the
boundary of the Province between the
Manawatu Gorge and the Waimata
Stream; towards the South-east and South-
west by high water mark of the sea coast
between the Waimata Stream and the
Onoke Lake; towards the North-west by
the Onoke Lake; by the Ruamahanga
River, and by the Wairarapa Lake to the
Tauherinikau River, thence up the said
river to where the main road line from
Wellington to Masterton crosses it, thence
along the said main road line to the Wai-
poua River, thence down the said river to
the Ruamahanga River, thence up that
river to the Kopuaranga River, thence up
the Kopuaranga River till it strikes the
South-eastern boundary of the Manawatu
Block; thence North-easterly, and con-
tinues along the boundaries of the said
block to its Northern corner; thence
Northerly to the southern boundary of the
Ahua Turanga Block; thence North-
easterly along the South-east boundaries
of the said Block to the Manawatu Gorge,
excepting always such sections of pastoral
land as are now surveyed and open for
purchase.

Thursday, February 19th instant, at 12
o’clock noon.
