PROVINCE OF WELLINGTON.
IMPORTANT SALE
OF
ABOUT 25½ ACRES OF LAND,
UNDER CONTRACT FOR RECLAMATION.
MR. R. J. DUNCAN has received instructions from the Provincial Government to offer for sale by public auction at the Provincial Council Chamber, Wellington, on Monday, the 21st day of December, 1874, at twelve o’clock noon—
That valuable block of land now under contract for reclamation, situated in the City of Wellington, and adjoining the Great Northern Railway terminus, containing about 25½ acres.
The block, which will be offered for sale in one lot, is, by the plan, divided into sections, numbered from 1 to 15 inclusive, each section having one or more frontages to public streets, varying in width from 60 to 100 feet, which streets will be formed and metalled, and the footpaths kerbed, at the expense of the Provincial Government.
From the central position of these sections, and their proximity to the Harbour and Railway Station, they will undoubtedly become the most valuable Building Sites for Business Purposes to be found in the City.
The new General Government Buildings will shortly be erected on the land already reclaimed, and adjoining the block under contract for reclamation.
Lithographed maps shewing the area, position, and street frontages of the sections, comprised in the block; also printed conditions of sale, can be seen on and after the 18th day of November next, at the Provincial Secretary’s and Provincial Engineer’s offices, Wellington, also at the office of the Auctioneer, and at the following places:—
