Proclamation.
By His Honor William Fitzherbert,
Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WILLIAM FITZHERBERT, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand, by virtue of the powers conferred upon me by the tenth section of ‘The Protection of Animals Act, 1873,’ do hereby proclaim and declare that it shall be lawful for any person duly licensed under the said Act to hunt, shoot, take, or kill game within the Province of Wellington, between the tenth day of May and the tenth day of July in each and every year, both inclusive. And I do further proclaim and declare, by virtue of the power conferred upon me by the fourteenth section of the said Protection of Animals Act, that game shall not be hunted, shot, taken, or killed in that portion of the said Province of Wellington described in the Schedule hereto:
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this sixth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

Schedule.
Bounded on the North by a line bearing about East from the source of the Waikanae river to the top of the Tararua range, and by the Waikanae river; on the East by the summit line of the Tararua and Rimutaka ranges; on the South and West by the Sea Coast between Taorakira Head and the Waikanae river.

WILLIAM FITZHERBERT, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand, by virtue of the powers conferred on me by ‘The Impounding Act, 1874,’ do hereby proclaim and appoint that the stockyard of the Hon. Dr. Grace, situated at Ohonga, on the East Coast of the Province of Wellington, shall be a Public Pound for the purposes of ‘The Impounding Act, 1874.’
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this sixth day of June one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

By virtue of the provisions of the sixth section of ‘The Impounding Act, 1874,’ I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby appoint

to be the Poundkeeper at the Public Pound at Ohonga, on the East Coast of the Province of Wellington.
