Proclamation.
By His Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the 8th Section of "The Wellington Waste Land Regulations Amendment Act, 1871," the Superintendent of the Province of Wellington is empowered to withdraw from sale at any time by Proclamation any Waste Lands of the Crown which it may appear expedient for public interests should be so withdrawn. Now therefore, I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the powers vested in me by the above recited Act do hereby withdraw from sale from this date the following sections of land, viz.:—Rural Sections Nos. 491, 492, 493, 494, 495, 496, 497, 498, 499, 500, 501, 502, 503, 504, 505, 506, 507, 508, 509, 510, 511, 512, 513, 514, 515, 516, 517, 518, 519, 520, 521, 522, 523, 524, 525, and 526 in the Township of Palmerston in the Manawatu District.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

WHEREAS it has been notified to me that
MR. THOMAS BAYLEY
has Resigned his Seat as Member of the Wanganui and Waitotara Highway Board for Ward No. 5 of the Wanganui and Waitotara Highway District.
Now, therefore, I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by "The Highways Act, 1871," do hereby appoint that the electors qualified to vote for the election of a Warden for Ward No. 5, of the Wanganui and Waitotara District shall meet at the premises of Messrs Taylor and Watt, Westmere, on Tuesday, the 9th day of June next, at twelve o’clock noon for the purpose of electing a Warden for such Ward.
And I do hereby appoint George Brooking to be Presiding Officer at the said meeting as aforesaid.

HIS Honor the Superintendent has appointed a meeting for the election of a Warden for Ward No. 5 of the Wanganui and Waitotara Highway District to be held at the premises of Messrs Taylor and Watt, Westmere, on Tuesday, the 9th day of June next, at 12 o’clock noon.
Mr George Brooking has been appointed Presiding Officer for such meeting as aforesaid.
