Proclamation

By His Honor William Fitzherbert,
Esq., C.M.G., Superintendent
of the Province of Wellington,
in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by the eighth section of
The Wellington Waste Land Regulations Amendment Act, 1871,
the Superintendent of the Province of
Wellington is empowered to withdraw
from sale, at any time by Proclamation,
any Waste Lands of the Crown which it
may appear expedient for public interest
should be so withdrawn. Now there-
fore, I, William Fitzherbert, Superinten-
dent of the Province of Wellington, in
virtue of the powers vested in me by the
above recited Act, do hereby withdraw
from sale all the Waste Lands of the
Crown situated within the boundaries set
forth and subscribed in the Schedule, and
delineated on the plan hereto.

Given under my hand, and issued
under the Public Seal of the
Province of Wellington, this
nineteenth day of March, one
thousand eight hundred and
seventy-four.

Schedule

Bounded towards the North by the
Waitanginui stream, from its mouth to
the southern boundary of section No. 6,
Pahautanui Agricultural Reserve, by the
southern boundaries of the said section
No. 6, and of sections Nos. 7 and 8, and
by a line, being the production of the
said boundaries, till it meets the western
boundary of the land proclaimed as re-
served from sale for railway purposes, on
the 23rd June, 1871; towards the East
by the said land reserved from sale for
railway purposes; towards the South-
east by the River Hutt; towards the
South by the northern shore of Port
Nicholson, by section No. 19, Harbour
District, by section No. 3, Horokiwi
Road District, and by section No. 19,
Porirua District; and towards the West
and North-West by the Road from Wel-
lington to Porirua, and by the South-east
shore of Porirua Harbour.

Sheep Inspector’s Notice

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, March 27, 1874.

NOTICE has been received from the Wan-
ganui District, that he has granted a
clean certificate for a flock of sheep
numbering 600, belonging to
Mr. Wm. Wilson, Wairoa.

Superintendent Office,
Wellington, 7th April, 1874.

BY virtue of the power vested in me by
clause 7 of the Act of the Provincial
Council of Wellington, Session No 13, I
hereby authorize
Mr. G. Beer,
Assistant Provincial Engineer, Welling-
ton, to kill any cattle the property of the
Government of the Province, on the land
between Mungaroa and Waikanae.

Given under my hand at Wellington, this 7th day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and
seventy-four.
