Notice.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 9th July, 1873.

HIS Honor the Superintendent has appointed the School House, Upokongaro, as the place for holding a meeting of the voters for the election of a Warden for Ward No. 4 of the Wangaehu Highway District, on Friday, the 25th of July next, instead of the premises of Mr. R. A. Daniel.

Henry Clyland Field has been appointed Presiding Officer for such meeting.

Highway Construction Order.

Superintendent’s Office,
Wellington, July 11, 1873.

The following resolution has been forwarded by the Wanganui and Waitotara Highway Board:—

"The Wanganui and Waitotara Highway Board having considered the objections made by Mr. J. M. Thompson to the proposed line of road running southward from the Great North-Western Road, near Nukumaru, to the land at present occupied by Mr. William Dempster, hereby order the said line to be constructed as laid off by the Board’s Engineer."

Under the provisions of the thirty-third clause of "The Highway Board Empowering Act, 1871," I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby appoint that the objections referred to in the above resolution shall be heard at the Superintendent’s Office, in the buildings belonging to the Provincial Government, on the Reclaimed Land, in the City of Wellington, on Monday, the 18th day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three, at twelve o’clock noon.

Given under my hand at Wellington this eleventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

Notice.

WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given that a plan, sections, and descriptions of two proposed lines of road, to be called respectively the "Mangaone" and "Waikupa" roads. The former commencing at the No. 3 Line, near the Mataongaonga School house, and terminating just beyond the boundary fence dividing Messrs. Higgie’s land from that formerly belonging to the Messrs. Pickup; and the latter branching off from the former near the South-east angle of the land formerly belonging to Messrs. Pickup, and terminating just within the westernmost angle of Mr. David Lind’s land; together with lists of the owners, lessees, and occupiers of the lands intersected by the said roads, are now lying for inspection at the office of the above Board, Taupo Quay, Wanganui. Any person wishing to make any objections or suggestions relative to either of the said roads, must do so in writing addressed to the Board within forty days from the date hereof.
